Regis UniversityTotal enrollment at Regis University reached a record 15,109 for the academic 2001-2002 year. Although enrollment continues to grow, the student to teacher ratio remains at 14:1. In September 2002, U.S. News & World Report named Regis University a "Top School" among colleges and universities in the Western United States for the eighth consecutive year. Regis University has designed its academic offerings to honor the values of Jesuit higher education, which calls for coherent and challenging fields of study, the examination of values, freedom of academic inquiry, and regular exchange of ideas between faculty and scholarship. Our curricula, our faculty, and our learning formats demonstrate these commitments. Regis University academic programs are offered in a variety of learning formats - traditional semester-based programs, accelerated evening programs, guided independent study programs, and online learning programs - offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Computer Science Program The computer science program at Regis University is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions, (e.g. programmer, systems analyst, network support, etc.), in the computer field, and to provide them with the technical knowledge and managerial skills necessary for a wide range of subsequent career paths. There is a growing demand in all sectors for individuals with this combination of capabilities. This program was developed with the cooperation of employers and computer science professionals with an emphasis on the theoretical aspects of the computer world. Our Computer Science graduates go on to graduate school or start jobs. Current starting salaries range between $40,000 and $50,000 a year. Computer science is a field that is creative as well as technical. A degree in computer science will provide the graduate with opportunities in systems design and performance analysis, research and development, software engineering, and project management. It's not surprising that it is one of our most exciting and popular majors.
